We must not just be recipients but givers! We must not just be keepers but donors! Giving brings relief and sharing enlightens the heart. Caring joins and showing love is life. It is never enough to acquire all acquisition. It is never enough to have all our ambitions. We must endeavor to give for giving out of a true heart is true love and true love is life.

The Silver Fitness programme for seniors was run twice a week and was well attended by many seniors living in the community. It was a part of our Circles programme for seniors in a bid to help seniors enlarge their social circles, be meaningfully engaged and stay connected.

Kopitime and films at keong siak

Many seniors grapple with loneliness and feel bored staying at home staring at four walls.

KopiTime@Keong Saik provides a time and a place for seniors to come together for a cup of coffee and conversation. Seniors may also spend their time reading a newspaper, playing games such as weiqi and chinese chess with other seniors and volunteer befrienders or have a hand at calligraphy.

Who doesn’t like watching films? Films@Keong Saik will screen films from the golden era of Chinese films twice a month on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. Film goers will also enjoy tea and traditional Chinese snacks before and after the film screening.

Kopi Time@Keong Saik is from Monday to Fridays, 1300 – 1700.
