Evidence has found music programmes to be effective in helping youth and children develop greater emotional control, discipline and relaxation skills. Partnering with a team of musically inclines professionals, our Drum Circle programme encourages freestyle playing of percussion instruments as well as musical pieces, allowing youth and children to experience stress relief and learn principles of community building
In a drum circle, participants create an improvised musical expression that is based on their collective impulses, expressive needs, and technical abilities. There is no goal of musical education, though some learning may take place through osmosis.
