Paint of Love
What is Paint of Love all about?
We wanted to improve the lives of those from low-income households in Singapore by providing their homes with a fresh coat of paint. Paint of Love (POL) stems from our heartfelt desire to help families to live in better and more hygienic conditions, in hopes that this would improve their wellbeing. It is our way of extending practical help to families to make home a place where the heart is.
How it all started
In 2015, in celebration of SG50, Alive Community Network gifted 50 deserving households with a fresh coat of paint. Volunteers, both Individuals & corporations alike, came together as one in the spirit of love, to provide these households with this service.
We saw with our own eyes how much it meant to our beneficiaries that we painted their homes. We decided it was something we wanted to continue to do.
With Paint of Love, we wanted to bring cheer and practical care to families who need assistance, by providing their homes with a fresh coat of paint.
How we choose which households to paint
Our focus is to help tenants of 1 and/or 2-room rental HDB flats (VWO – referred or Individual nominations)whose units are in dire need of painting works.
There are some exclusions. Individual nomination(s) that do not fall under the main qualifying criteria of POL are subject to POL committee review on a case-by-case basis.
Acceptance of a case with a scope of work that is above and beyond the main POL focus, i.e. painting works, will be assessed and determined by the POL committee.

5 homes of low-income households in 2022
We want to do so much more and we need you to help us!
