The Walking Alongside Families with Special Needs (SNF) Fundraising Campaign exists for one simple reason: families caring for loved ones with special needs need care too.

Behind every individual with special needs is a family carrying the weight of financial responsibilities, physical caregiving, emotional strain, and mental fatigue. While much attention is given to supporting caregivers in how to care for their loved ones, far less is done to care for the caregivers themselves.

For two and a half years, ACN has journeyed with these families by:

• Distributing quarterly care packs
• Organising activities and programmes for siblings

Now, we hope to do more and expand our outreach to more of these families.

With your support, we hope to:

Build meaningful connections 

Mobilise dedicated volunteers to serve as befrienders, offering emotional support and companionship to family members who sign up, in order to better understand their needs and provide  targeted support which could include financial assistance to families that qualify for aid. 

Organise talks by professionals or experienced personnel in the field, around practical topics that would help SN families cope and  thrive.

Organise talks to raise public awareness of special needs and how to seek help or diagnosis for family members.
